Born to test, or trained to test?
Some people were in fact born to test. I feel that I am one of them. Regardless of your answer, you will find ways to improve your testing skills and the way you test one way or another. From attending courses, to reading testing magazines and articles; the hunger for knowledge is almost insatiable. I’ve started this blog as a way to share my insights and passion for testing with you.
As a tester just starting out, I found it hard to find the help I needed online or in books. It could have been because I was so new to the field that I didn’t even know where to look. After testing for almost 7 years now, I realise that I can help others with the experiences that I have gained (the hard way), while I continue to learn even more. Some of what I’ve learnt, I’ve pretty much made up along the way, and it hasn’t failed me yet.
I believe that a tester of any level will find value in my blog, as sometimes being reminded of the basics is just what you need to strengthen your foundation when striving for that next level. If you’re a test manager, this blog could mean remembering the good ol’ days of breaking software or now influencing your testers to grow the skills further.
Join me on this journey as we 1up our testing skills!
